Tolerability

Tolerability refers to the way your body tolerates a medication or treatment. Good tolerability means that your body is likely to react positively to a medication, with few side effects.
NovoSeven® RT is well tolerated by a vast majority of patients because of these safety features:
Works Where It's Needed
NovoSeven® RT is considered safe because it works only at the site of injury. So you don't need to worry about clots forming in other parts of your body.
No Risk of Increased Titers*
A titer measures the strength of an inhibitor. The higher the titer in the blood, the stronger the inhibitor. People with inhibitors want to keep their titers low. However, Factor VIII and Factor IX can raise titers.
NovoSeven® RT is the only bypassing agent that does not contain any Factor VIII or Factor IX. So using NovoSeven® RT does not raise titers.
Side Effects
The safety of NovoSeven® RT is proven. The most common side effects in people with inhibitors who are taking NovoSeven® RT were:
- Fever
- Bleeding
- Pain from blood pooling in a joint
- High blood pressure
*In hemophilia A and B.
