Insurance providers use specialty pharmacies because they generally have more sophisticated systems to handle the complexities of factor therapy for people with bleeding disorders.
After your doctor prescribes NovoSeven® RT, you’ll get your factor from a specialty pharmacy distributor, hemophilia home care agency, or a hemophilia treatment center.
Why specialty pharmacies?
What’s in the box?
NovoSeven® RT comes in a compact package, complete with a MixPro® prefilled syringe.
The box contains:
- Vial with NovoSeven® RT powder
- Vial adapter
- Prefilled syringe with diluent
- Plunger rod
Get a Starter Kit.
We recommend you begin with a Starter Kit. It’s designed to help you learn all about mixing a dose of NovoSeven® RT. The kit includes a carrying case, introductory booklet, infusing mat, step-by-step mixing information, and a sample device so you can practice.
Looking for a portable treatment?
NovoSeven® RT is room temperature stable before reconstitution, so you can take it along without the need for refrigeration. After mixing, you can store it at room temperature up to 3 hours before infusing, for treating when you’re on the go.
- Store between 36˚F and 77˚F
- Ask a Novo Nordisk Hemophilia Community Liaison (HCL) about getting a Ready-to-Travel case to store supplies while at home or traveling
